What if I look at something and know it to be 'green' and you look at the same thing and actually see something different, maybe you see what I know to be 'red' but through language we named this 'thing' 'green' - and therefore called it so forever.

We go through life thinking we see the same thing as each other, when in fact we may all see different colours and call them the same.

If possible for colours, then why not for shapes too?

I look at something and know it as a 'circle', and you look at the same thing but see something different - let's say you see what I know to be a 'square'.

From the time we acquired language, we called this 'something' a 'circle' - so every time we see this thing, we ALL know it as a 'circle', regardless of if it actually appears to be a different thing to each of us.

I see 'x', you see 'y' - but we both call it 'z'. We believe we are seeing the same thing.

If possible for shapes, why not possible for faces?

For landscapes?

For sunsets?

For everything we see in physical reality?

Maybe I see a world completely different to you, but through language we believe we are seeing the same thing.

We may see a completely different world to each other - but unless you could make your way inside my body to look through my eyes - or put my eyes on like a pair of glasses - we can never know.

Maybe this explains the diversity in what we find attractive, our perceptions. We are actually seeing different things, but calling them the same.

And if this were so for what we see, how about for what we FEEL, believe, know, perceive.

Oh yep.

It really is all so open to interpretation.

It's all what you decide.

Mindset is everything.
